Hawkeye 1916-1933 Sioux City, lowa, was home to the Hawkeye Truck Company.All of the Hawkeye trucks up to 1926 were powered by Buda engines. The Company´s first advertising slogan was
“Manufactures of Good Trucks Sold at a Fair Price.”
In 1927 Hawkeye introdused six-cylinder Buda engines. By 1931, Hercules and Wisconsin engines were also available. The Depression took its toll on the company, and by 1933, production had ceased altogether.
