Kovap tower jib crane
The Kovap crane (tower-jib-crane) is based on a design fom 1950 made by the tintoy manufacturer Kellermann (CKO ) from Nurnberg Germany. Because one could see a crane at every corner, in german all day life of the fifties the crane was chosen as symbol for the rebuilding after the war. Georg Kellermanns career had begun as a apprentice in the company "BUB". Later he worked at " Distler´s " as a master and finally founded in 1910 his own tintoy factory in Nurnberg. CKO got world famous because they had high quality standards for their products. In the 70ties the factory doors had to be closed forever.
